 Gilbert always knew he was gay and felt he
didn't fit in. Gilbert remembered his mother, Sirena, encouraging him to be confident and
proud about who he was. When he was twelve, Gilvert made a Valentine's Day card for his
best friend, Eddie. He drew a heart and signed it, "Love, Gilbert". The card
didn't bother Eddie, The next day, the principal called Gilbert into the office. Eddie's
mother had called the principal. She was angry and worried. The principal asked Gilbert to
wait outside. An hour later, Sirena came out of the office and told Gilbert that he
wouldn't be coming back to this school. Gilbert never saw his best friend, Eddie, again.
When Gilbert is seventeen and attending his fifth school since he was twelve, he meets
Adam. Gilbert and Adam become good friends. Slowly, Gilbert begins to fall in love with
