 His film making lineage goes back 4 generations starting with his great
grandfather, William Butler, who created the miniatures and special effects for the first
talkie, "Wings"; grandfather Lawrence Butler invented the blue screen and
created the special effects for such films as "Casablanca"; his father, Michael
Butler, was the director of photography for the academy award nominated film
"Missouri Breaks", and many others such as "Cannonball Run", the
"Smokey & the Bandit" films; his uncle, David Butler was the aerial director
of photography for the films "Black Stallion", "Apocalypse Now",
"Terminator II", and "True Lies". Christopher is proving the film
making "genes" fit him, too, with the film "Southie" on his list of
directory of photography credits, which won the Seattle & Nantucket Film Festival
along with several other feature films, and is currently the director of photography for
"If Tomorrow Comes". |
